BREAST RECONSTRUCTION CASE STUDY 5 (Stage1-3):

LATISSIMUS DORSI FLAP

45 year-old diagnosed with Right breast Ductal Carcinoma In Situ. Patient underwent a Right breast skin sparing mastectomy with sentinel lymph node dissection. Immediate Latissimus dorsi flap reconstruction was performed with placement of a 550cc tissue expander. The tissue expander was replaced with a Mentor 600cc silicone gel implant. Augmentation of the Left breast was performed by using a Mentor 450cc smooth round moderate plus profile silicone gel implant. The Right nipple areolar complex was reconstructed with a modified Tennessee flap. Areolar tattoo of the Right breast was later performed.
