BREAST RECONSTRUCTION CASE STUDY 6 (Stage 1-3):

TISSUE EXPANDER

36 year-old diagnosed with Right breast cancer. Patient underwent a bilateral mastectomy with axillary lymph node dissection and Benelli mastopexy. Mentor 350cc low height tissue expanders were placed. The expanders were later replaced with Mentor 550cc high profile silicone gel implants with bilateral nipple areolar complex reconstruction. The mastectomy scars were continuously reduced with a special suture method so that the nipple reconstruction could be done within the scars. There are no visible scars from the mastectomy. The Right breast scar is from her previous lumpectomy.
