BREAST RECONSTRUCTION CASE STUDY 1 (Stage 1-3):

TISSUE EXPANDER

56 year-old with palpable mass of Left breast diagnosed with Infiltrating Ductal Carcinoma. Patient underwent a Left breast simple mastectomy with axillary of sentinel lymph node biopsy. Immediate reconstruction was performed with placement of a Mentor 400cc low height tissue expander. This was later replaced with a 550cc Mentor smooth round high profile silicone gel implant. Also, a Right breast augmentation was performed with a Mentor 275cc smooth round moderate profile silicone gel implant and circumareolar mastopexy for symmetry. The Left nipple areolar complex was reconstructed with a modified Tennessee Flap and full thickness skin graft. Areolar tattoo pending.
